Summary
     Yoongi was alone.
     Taehyung was alone.
     Jungkook was alone.
They all had hurtful pasts but when the group found each other it
looked like they could work together.
Maybe they could be each others company in the cold world that had
hurt everyone of them in its own way.
Min Yoongi was fine.
Yes, he wasn’t really happy after he lost everything. He didn’t think that was
ever possible again. But he was fine. He was now an independent person. He
decided which way he wanted to go and right now it was away from the crowd.
It was Valentine’s Day and every couple of the world was out right now. At
least it looked like that to Yoongi. He just wanted to buy some food and go
back home as it was cold and looked like rain. But all this disgustingly happy
couples got in his way. Right now he was forced to follow the stream of people
down the main road but he saw a small alley and escaped the monotone flow.

Taehyung was in trouble, big trouble. Everybody always told him he made trouble
for everyone and maybe everybody was right.
Why did he stumble between the lovey-dovey couple and accidentally
break both of their phones. And then when both of them started shouting why did
he have to say that their reaction was dramatic? Why did he say that it was
typical for gays? Why?
Now the couple was chasing him. Taehyung had ducked a punch one of them had
thrown at him and was now trying to escape.

The alley was dirty. Garbage was lying around everywhere and a man (probably
homeless, maybe drunk and passed out, maybe dead) laid on the floor. But at
least there were no couples. Yoongi decided this way was as good as any other
and it looked like a short cut to his place.
He regretted his decision when a boy ran into him. Two big angry guys following
him. Yoongi was not interested in being involved in any gang fights and just
wanted to turn around but the boy hid behind him.

"Please help me."
He sounded terrified. Yoongi looked at the men who had stopped in front of him.

"Just leave. You do not want to interfere in our business."
That was true. But the boy was clinging to Yoongi's shirt.

"Come on kid. When you get involved in gang stuff you need to own up to it."
The kid didn't let go of Yoongi's shirt. But one of the men caught attention
to what Yoongi said.

"Wait. We are not in any gang."
"Then why are you chasing him"
Yoongi knew he could not interfere with the big game but if it was just these
two guys he could at least hear what the boy had done.

"He broke our phones."
"It was a mistake!" God, the kid sounded so small behind him although he was a
head taller than him.

"And then he insulted us because we are gay!"
Yoongi hated that he was hurt. At least one insult for being gay per day was
normal for him.

"I just said they were being dramatic because I did not really break their
phones they both dropped them when I stumbled into them. And I apologized
first. But I don't have money to pay them back and..."
"Shut up." Yoongi wasn't angry. He just didn't want to hear anything more.
"Looks like the kid is sorry and the situation can't be undone. So why don't
you guys just go away and enjoy the rest of Valentine's Day?"
Yoongi hated unnecessary violence even more than being involved in other
people’s lives.

"Why don't you just fuck off?"
"Come on Carl he has a point."
"I don't care if he has a point Frank. The boy deserves a beating."

Yoongi just raised his brows. Why did couples always need this long to decide
something?
"So…"

"How about we just hit him a couple of times and then you can have him."
The kid dug more behind Yoongi and was now clinging to his shirt with both of
his hands.

"I don't want to have him. And I hate violence without purpose. So just leave."
One of the guys took a step towards them. Great.

Yoongi reached inside his pocket and got his knife. Two quite nice things
happened when he held it up. First the guy coming towards him took a step back.
Second the kid let go of his shirt.

"I said, just leave."
He didn't have to raise his voice. He knew when he just spoke with enough force
people were intimidated.

"Come on Carl. Let's just go"
One of the guys grabbed the other’s arm and dragged him with him out of the
alley.

"Finally." Yoongi breathed out.

"Thank you so much!"
At first he was startled by the voice behind him. When he turned around the kid
was bowing in front of him.

"Why didn't you run away when they left?"
The boy looked up at Yoongi. He seemed to be confused.

"I just wanted to thank you. And..."
"And you were afraid they were coming back."

The kid smiled a little. "I'm Taehyung."
Yoongi turned around to walk home. "Great."

But the boy, Taehyung apparently, followed him. "I just told you my name."

"Yes, I got that. But I don't care." Yoongi walked a little faster. The guys
were gone why didn't the kid leave?

"Normally people answer with their name." Taehyung laughed a little.

Yoongi got annoyed. "Normally people don't just follow strangers."

"If you told me your name you wouldn't be a stranger."

Yoongi stopped in his tracks. What was this kid trying to achieve. He looked
him up and down. He didn't look too bad although his clothes were old and he
was wearing a lot of layers. Of course!
"You're a street kid right?"

Taehyung seemed hurt for a split second but then he smiled awkwardly bright.
"Actually I am not a kid. I am 18."

Figured. When he was 18 his parents probably threw him out and now he had to
make it on the streets as

"And a dealer for someone bigger?"
Lot of kids got into gangs quite young. And as the gangs took care that all of
them were users too they didn't leave until they were killed or died of an
overdose at Yoongi’s age.

"No." The kid grinned happily. "I'm not involved with any gangs. I'm able to
take care of myself." He really sounded proud.

"Well good. Then take care of yourself."
Yoongi started walking again. He was almost at the end of the alley way and his
home was only 200 meters away. But he could hear the steps behind him. He
turned around angrily.

"Stop following me!!"

The kid actually looked shocked. "But why?" His voice was so small Yoongi
almost felt something like pity.

"Why would you follow me?"
Taehyung just looked on the ground and mumbled something.

"Speak clearly!" Taehyung looked up.

"It is evening." Was this kid really pouting right now?

"And?" Why would the time of the day be any of Yoongi’s business? He just
wanted to go home and...
"Oh... you are a street kid and don't have anywhere to go."
Now Taehyung was just nodding. He looked kind of cute like that.

"Well why would I let you go to my place? You don't deal so there is nothing in
for me."
Now the kid smiled again. Somehow this annoying smile made Yoongi a little
happy. And his smile actually changed into a ... smirk?

"Who said there wouldn't be anything in for you?"
What? The kid did have something? Although it didn't really matter Yoongi just
wanted to go home. Alone. So the kid had to look for someone else to bother.

"Well, I don't really care. Look for someone else to bother."
Yoongi walked away again. He came out of the alley and turned left after a few
meters he crossed the street and stood in front of his apartment building.

"Looks pretty big."
Yoongi jumped. Taehyung stood right next to him and looked up at the facade.
God, wouldn't he ever get rid of him?

"Just leave!"
Yoongi opened the door but Taehyung put his hand on his. When Yoongi looked up
into his face he really looked desperate.

"Please."
He hated this kid. He just wanted to hit him in the face and enter his home.
But he took a deep breath and opened the door for Taehyung.

Taehyung had the brightest smile ever. He showed all of his teeth to the world
and when he stepped inside he hopped around a little. He followed Yoongi to the
elevator and didn't stop smiling the whole ride up. And Yoongi lived on the 8th
floor. When they reached his apartment Yoongi had to take another deep breath
because he really didn't want to let this kid ruin his night. But he opened the
door and let Taehyung follow him inside.
Yoongi stepped inside took of his shoes and coat and then went to storage the
food. When he turned around Taehyung still stood at the door. He looked like a
lost puppy and as he wasn't moving. Yoongi used the time to look at him. He had
a quite slender figure, but he didn't look starved actually more tall and
strong. His brown hair fell into his eyes but it looked kind of cool. And even
with the dirty layers of clothes Yoongi couldn't deny that he was attractive.
Taehyung noticed Yoongi looking at him and stared directly into his eyes.

"What should I do?"
Yoongi was confused.

"What do you mean?"

"What do you want me to do now?"
Taehyung just looked at him expectantly. Was he actually asking what he should
do? Wasn't it enough that Yoongi let him stay over the night? Did he have to
entertain this brat too?

"I don't care. Take your shoes of and be quiet."
Now Taehyung looked very surprised. What was up with him? But he bent down to
take off his shoes so Yoongi went to take a beer out of the fridge. When he
came back Taehyung sat on the sofa. He had taken off around 2 jackets and 3
shirts and was now sitting on Yoongi’s couch in only a t-shirt and jeans.
Yoongi went to sit next to the kid and turned on the TV. He drank his beer and
stared at the television. He couldn't really concentrate though. So he finally
asked what was on his mind.

"Aren't you cold?"
Yoongi's apartment was quite small only a small kitchen, a very small bathroom
and this also not big living/ bed room so it wasn't too hard to keep the
apartment warm but Yoongi hadn't paid for heating this winter because his pay
checks wouldn't cover it. So he just hoped that his neighbours heated enough to
keep the building at a human temperature and dressed a little warmer.
Taehyung smiled at him.

"I'm almost never cold."
Yoongi just nodded and turned back to the TV. Even if he still hadn't figured
out what he was watching.
Then he felt a hand on his thigh.

"Thank you for caring..."
When he turned his head the kid looked at him expectantly. Well, he did let him
into his home so...

"I'm Yoongi."
The boy grinned and started moving his hand on Yoongi's thigh what irritated
Yoongi a lot and he looked down at the hand rubbing little circles onto his
jeans.

"That is a really nice name."
How could he change his voice so much? It was so deep and soft now. It was
almost sensual... Wait, was the boy actually trying to flirt with him? Why
would he flirt with a stranger? Oh...
Yoongi finally understood. Why Taehyung could take care of himself. Why he
still needed Yoongi to take him in for a night and what could be in it for
Yoongi. Yoongi wondered why he didn't get it before. It was quite obvious what
Taehyung was.
He looked up at the boy and contemplated if he wanted to give into him. He was
good looking. Yoongi hadn't been touched for a while. And the boy probably had
enough practice to be good at what he was doing. But Yoongi didn't want to be
any more involved with him than he already was. So he drank up his beer and
stood up.

"I'm going to bed. You can sleep on the couch. Turn off the TV if you're not
watching anymore; electricity is expensive. And if you steal or break anything
I will find you."
Yoongi was sure he wouldn't find him but a small threat couldn't hurt. Taehyung
looked up at him confused when he got rid of the bottle in the kitchen and then
went to the bathroom. When Yoongi wanted to close the door to finally be alone
he stood in front of him shyly fumbling with his fingers.

"I said you can sleep on the couch!"
God, why wouldn't he just go away? Taehyung nodded and spoke very quietly to
his fingers.

"Do you have something like another blanket?"
Oh... the kid wasn't trying to push more into his business. Yoongi got one of
the two blankets of his bed and closed the bathroom door after pressing it into
Taehyungs hand.

"Thank you."
The voice was muffled through the door. But Yoongi could almost see that stupid
grin of the kid. And when he started to change he heard the TV being turned
off. The kid seemed grateful and with good manners.
Still. As Yoongi lay down in bed and closed his eyes he knew he had to kick him
out in the morning.
So he could finally be alone again.
